Cookie Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage, are treated the same way in this policy. They may be necessary for the website to work or, with your consent, be used to remember preferences, produce statistics or support marketing features.
2. Categories used on this website
- Necessary: enable essential functions, security and consent management. They do not require consent and cannot be switched off through the banner.
- Statistics: help us understand how the website is used, through Google Analytics. They are only enabled if you give your consent.
This website does not use preference or marketing cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated and those cookies will only be enabled with your consent.
3. Cookies used
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cmplz_banner-status, cmplz_policy_id, cmplz_consented_services, cmplz_functional, cmplz_preferences, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_marketing | ajoana.pt | Store the choices made in the cookie banner | 365 days | Necessary |
| pll_language | ajoana.pt | Remember the website language | 1 year | Necessary |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguish visitors using a random identifier | 2 years | Statistics |
| _ga_BGSXRNZDST | Google Analytics | Keep the session state and count visits | 2 years | Statistics |
Users logged in to the website’s admin area also receive technical WordPress and security cookies, which do not apply to other visitors.
4. Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited that produces statistics on how the website is used, such as the pages visited, the source of visits, the type of device and approximate location. The service is only loaded after you accept statistics cookies, and the data is only used in aggregate.
Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. More information in the Privacy Policy and on Google’s page about how it uses information from partner sites.
5. Consent and managing your preferences
On your first visit, the banner lets you accept, reject or choose by category. Rejecting does not prevent access to the website, and statistics cookies remain blocked until a valid choice has been made.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time under Cookie preferences, which is also available in the website footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. You will be asked again after 12 months or whenever this policy changes significantly.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, some website features may not work properly, including remembering your cookie choice.
7. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated to reflect legal, technical or service changes. For questions about cookies or privacy, please contact Joana Filipa Marques da Costa at ola@ajoana.pt. See also the Privacy Policy.
